Eight Reasons Why Women Should Lift Weights

Many women spend load s of time in the weight room and very little time in the weight room for various reasons. Most reasons are unfounded and typically misconceived notions. Regardless of your reasons, here are 8 reasons why you need to hit the weight room hard!!

1. Strong Bones. Research shows that resistance training directly correlates to greater levels of bone density and preservation. As women get older there is a greater risk of osteoporosis. Get in the weight room instead of just doing aerobics and you could slow that process and live a long healthy lifestyle.

2. Increase BodyTone. By weight training you have the potential to increase lean muscle up to 1kg with 2 months of resistance training a couple of times per week. For each Kilo of added muscle you have the potential of burning an extra 100 calories per day. Better yet you have the potential to safely lose 2 to 3 Kilos of Fat at the same time. This translates into more shape and tone as your fat decrease begins to show the natural muscle shape under the skin.
